Microsoft has recently revealed the official prices of the Office 2019 productivity suite in the United States, as the new version available for customers right now from the Microsoft Store.

There are three versions of Office 2019, namely Microsoft Office Professional 2019, Microsoft Office Home & Business and Microsoft Office Home & Student.

The most affordable version this year is the Office Home & Student 2019 package that costs $149.99 in the United States, while the Home & Business SKU is sold for $249.99.

Office 2019 Professional costs $439.99, and it comes with all the new features of the new productivity suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access.

On the other hand, if go for the Home and Student 2019 version, you only get Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with no services like OneDrive or Skype included. It can be installed on just one PC or Mac and comes with 60-day Microsoft support via chat or phone.

The push for Office 365

Microsoft Office 2019 is a one-time purchase, meaning that you only pay once and then you can use the productivity suite for as long as you want.

Microsoft, however, recommends users to switch to the subscription-based Office 365, which comes with a monthly fee, but it guarantees more frequent updates that also include new features.

The classic suite, however, won’t get any new features after the release and you’ll have to wait until the next version of Office launches in order to get such updates.

Office 365 is Microsoft’s preferred choice and it comes with a series of benefits, including support for multiple devices, such as Android and iOS tablets and phones, as well as OneDrive storage up to 1TB and Skype call support.

Microsoft has already confirmed that a new version of the classic desktop Office would be released, so the 2019 edition won’t be the last one.
